Masters in Management students tour Martin Guitar

Students in Lehigh’s Masters in Management (M2) program got a lesson in the complex supply chain of America’s premier guitar manufacturer, C.F. Martin & Co., during a recent tour of the company’s headquarters in Nazareth.

The visit was part of Prof. Paul Myerson’s supply chain management course. Lehigh alum Nick Colasante ’88 and Fred Everett ’92, '94G, who led the tour, emphasized the unique challenges for Martin Guitar in sourcing rare woods and replenishing the raw material.

The full-time, 10-month M2 program, launched in 2015, is designed to equip recently graduated non-business degree students with the core business skills needed to succeed in today’s competitive job market. The program allows students to define their career goals and develop a foundational business skill set to give them an edge in the search for high-level employment opportunities in a variety of fields.

The inaugural class includes students from 16 different undergraduate majors who bring their unique perspectives to the classroom.
