Student with Parents

Family Weekend

October 2-4, 2020

Join us for a festive weekend filled with activities for you and your student to enjoy together. We are excited that Family Weekend is combined with our Founder’s Weekend tradition again this year. Each October since 1879, Lehigh has commemorated Founder Asa Packer and the magnitude of his impact with a campus celebration.

Questions and Answers

Family Weekend is an annual event for family members to visit the Lehigh campus to participate in special programs and activities with their student.

Family Weekend will be held from Friday, Oct. 2 through Sunday, Oct. 4. Family Weekend is part of the traditional Founder’s Weekend celebration. Registration information will be available this summer for all Founder's Day Weekend events, including Family Weekend.

Whomever a student defines as family is welcome to participate in Family Weekend. This may include—but is not limited to—parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.

Registration information will be available this summer for all Founder’s Weekend Events, including Family Weekend. Updates will also be announced on the Lehigh University Parents and Families Facebook page.

Visit Lehigh’s Maps and Directions page to find the best routes to campus for Family Weekend.

You may choose which events you would like to attend with your student. There is no obligation to attend every Family Weekend event. A full schedule of events will be mailed to parents and published online late summer 2020.

Parking information will be updated closer to the event weekend.

Casual dress is appropriate for most Family Weekend events. Comfortable footwear is highly recommended for walks on our beautiful but hilly campus.

Show your Brown & White pride during Family Weekend by sporting your favorite Lehigh gear. If you need to stock up, the Lehigh bookstore will be open during Family Weekend with a great selection of Lehigh apparel for sale.

We hope you’ll join us on Friday for the free Brown & White BBQ on the Clayton University Center lawn featuring a variety of delicious food truck dishes.

There are more than 15 different types of cuisine within walking distance of campus and even more dining options throughout the Bethlehem vicinity.

Lehigh’s community of problem solvers, explorers, and fearless go-getters is going all in on GO: The Campaign for Lehigh, a $1 billion-plus fundraising and engagement effort that will help attract the best students, develop new facilities and programs, and support research and distinction.
