Friday, May 21 to Monday, May 24, 2021
The details below will provide you with the information you need for graduation and your Lehigh University Commencement Ceremony in Goodman Stadium.
Use this step-by-step checklist to keep track of all the things you need to do—from ordering regalia to confirming your participation in the upcoming in-person ceremony, this list has you covered. View the checklist for graduates >
All graduates and guests must adhere to all Lehigh University COVID-19 Guidelines, which include wearing a cloth face covering (covering mouth and nose) at all times, maintaining 6-foot social distancing (exception to guests in the same party), washing hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, and practicing other good health behaviors such as avoiding touching your face and covering your mouth and nose when coughing or sneezing. Anyone failing to comply will not be permitted access to the ceremony and will be required to leave. This is for the safety of all of our University community members, and no exceptions will be made. Please plan accordingly. Each ceremony will be streamed live and anyone who cannot (or will not) comply with the COVID-19 Guidelines are welcome to attend Commencement remotely. For more information on Lehigh’s guidelines, please visit Help Stop the Spread.
All graduates and guests are required to complete a COVID-19 Self-Assessment the day of their assigned ceremony and prior to arriving on Lehigh campus. For more information on how to complete your Self-Assessment, please visit the COVID-19 Self-Assessment. You must show proof of your completed Self-Assessment (on your phone or print out) with green QR code to gain access into Goodman Stadium. If you receive an orange QR code, your temperature will be checked on site and must be below 100 degrees Fahrenheit prior to being admitted to the ceremony. Please do not attempt to attend Commencement if you receive a red QR code, your temperature is above 100 degrees Fahrenheit, or you do not show proof of completion. You will be denied access to campus and required to leave. This is for the safety of all of our University community members, and no exceptions will be made. Please plan accordingly.
To RSVP, Lehigh needs your current email address. If you have not been receiving emails from Lehigh, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can update your email address. If you have additional contact information that has changed since earning your Lehigh degree, please make sure to include.
All Class of 2020 graduates are required to RSVP by April 26 to participate in the in-person ceremony. If you do not plan to participate, we encourage you to RSVP as the online system offers another opportunity to recognize your accomplishments. Only graduates who completed their graduation application last year will have access to login to the RSVP system and participate in the ceremonies. Please follow the steps below by April 26.
- Access our Online System
- On April 27, the site will remain open, but you will no longer be able to change your RSVP or provide a recording of your name.
- Select Register under New Users.
- Enter your email address.
- Note: You must use the email address where you received the email, RSVP Form for Class of 2020. If you did not receive an email, please contact us at email@example.com so we can update your email address and resend the email.
- Once your account is registered, you will receive an email confirmation prompting you to create a password.
- Login to the Online System and complete the form.
- Within the form, you will be able to RSVP, provide the phonetic spelling of your name, record your name, submit a photo and message to family and friends, and more.
- If you do not plan to participate in the in-person ceremony, you still have the option to record your name and submit a photo and message for your personalized slide that will be uploaded to Lehigh Commencement website.
- Please note: You may continue to login to your account up until May 8 to upload/edit your photo or message. The RSVP and name recording portion of the form will close after April 26.
- Upon completion, make sure to click Submit. You will receive an email confirming your submission.
- Once the system closes, a professional announcer will record every graduate’s name that was provided by April 26 and use the information within your form to pronounce your name correctly.
- If you did not provide phonetic spelling and/or record your name, your name will still be recorded in advance based on professional judgement as long as you completed your graduation application last year.
- If you RSVP'd “no” to the in-person ceremony, a professional announcer will record your name and the recording will be part of your recognition slide that will be uploaded to the Lehigh Commencement website.
- Prior to the in-person ceremonies, all graduates who confirmed their participation for the in-person ceremony will receive an email directing them to login to their account to access their Grad Pass. You will have the ability to download the Grad Pass to your phone or print it. (Printed copy is recommended.) This pass will include your ceremony information, line-up number for the Student Assembly area, and QR code that is linked to your recorded name.
If you are unable to attend in person, all graduates who submitted their graduation application last year will be recognized online. Please review the steps under the RSVP Required section above. After selecting “No” for the in-person ceremony, you will be able to complete the rest of the form, including recording your name and submitting a photo and message. The information you submit will be used to create your personalized commencement slide that will be uploaded to the commencement website. You will be able to see your slide online, share it with friends and family, and click on your slide to hear your name read.
In addition, every in-person commencement ceremony will be livestreamed on the Lehigh Commencement homepage. We invite you to tune in from your computer to hear the student speakers’ remarks and cheer on your fellow classmates as they cross the stage.

If your guests change after submitting the ticket form, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org to provide the name(s) of the new guest(s) and who they will be replacing.
