Anthropology

What is Anthropology?

Lehigh’s undergraduate major and minor in anthropology provides students with state-of-the-art training in scientific inquiry, including research methods, statistics, and a deep understanding of social and cultural behaviors.

Lehigh’s anthropology students say they value not only what they learn through courses, internships, and independent research, but also the personalized attention and active mentoring they receive from faculty.

Career Opportunities in Anthropology

Lehigh’s anthropology alumni attend graduate school in social sciences, law, medicine, or education or work in business, social services, marketing, and a wide variety of other fields. Graduates with master’s degrees often go on to attend highly distinguished Ph.D. programs; others obtain positions in research, administration, or education.
