Why Study Religion?

Lehigh’s undergraduate major and minor in religious studies is devoted to the academic investigation of religion as an intrinsic dimension of human experience and culture. At its core, religion studies is a cross-cultural discipline. Faculty explore multiple dimensions of diverse religious worlds and the people who inhabit them, employing a wide variety of languages, methodologies and critical theories as interpretive tools.
