Is VIEW for families also, or just for students?
VIEW is designed only for students, not for their families. Only students are allowed to participate in the activities listed as part of the “Agenda” which includes sitting in on two classes and attending the lunch with Lehigh students. However, families are encouraged to participate in the optional activities which include the Information Session and Campus Tour as well as the Question and Answer Session.

Some additional options include:

  • On-Campus: We recommend going to the campus bookstore for a cup of coffee or to browse through Lehigh apparel, taking a walk through our LEED Certified STEPS (Science, Technology, Environment, Policy, & Society) building, or exploring the stacks of books in either Linderman Library or Fairchild-Martindale Library for an interesting read.
  • Off-Campus: Family members can also visit the Sands Casino, catch a movie or do some shopping at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley, visit ArtsQuest at SteelStacks, or eat at a restaurant in South Bethlehem or North Bethlehem.

Will I be able to meet with the Office of Financial Aid or the admissions counselor for my region?
You will have an opportunity to visit the Office of Financial Aid (which is open from 8:15AM-4:45PM) if you choose to do so. The office is located in the garden level of the Alumni Memorial Building, directly below the Office of Admissions, and can be reached at (610) 758- 3100 or We cannot guarantee that you will have an opportunity to talk to the admissions counselor for your region as they may be out of the office on travel. However, we would be happy to provide you with their contact information.

I registered for VIEW on the website- now what?
You should wait for a confirmation email to confirm your date and subsequently which classes you are able to observe. Please add to your address book so it does not get sent to your spam folder. You can expect a confirmation email for which date you can attend within one week of the time you register. You can expect a subsequent email regarding which classes you’ll be observing at least one day prior to your arrival. Due to space limitations, you may not be able to attend on your first choice date or observe your first choice classes. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis, so we encourage you to register as soon as possible.

Who can I contact for more information?
You can contact our Graduate Assistant, Frederick Coleman, at or (610) 758-3100.
