Leveraging its historic interdisciplinary strengths as well as its superior capabilities in computer science, data analytics, journalism, the life sciences and an ever-broadening range of disciplines, Lehigh has developed the Data X initiative to support innovative research at a time when our world is being increasingly impacted by data and technology. Faculty hired through Data X will teach and do research in fundamental computer science areas, collaborating with an existing group of exceptional, internationally respected faculty members already working in Lehigh’s core computer science department or in complementary fields.
