Improv Your Way to a Better Self | LearnX

Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 4:00 PM-6:30 PM

Session led by Michelle Macau, noted Actor, Director and Educator.

For Lehigh Faculty and Staff only.

Michelle Macau, a legendary NYC-based educator and practitioner of theatre, teaches the techniques of Improv to facilitate the taking of risks, creativity, and changing your life. She works with Lehigh's College of Education and the Urban Principals Academy, and is opening up her applied improv facilitation to Lehigh faculty and staff to expose more to this life-changing technique for approaching problem-solving, collaboration, and living your life.

As Michelle says, "Using the techniques and exercises of improvisation fosters TRUST upon which all relationships are built. SPONTANEITY is needed in life as change is a constant. Making one's partner look good, takes the focus off oneself and puts it on the other person, engendering a more cohesive TEAM in the workplace. The exercises allow participants to become willing to take RISKS, explore one's IMAGINATION and foster a sense of PLAY that encourages a more creative output by team members."

So, take a risk, let yourself fly into something new and different, and join us in this fascinating LearnX that you won't soon forget!

The Lehigh Expo | Creative Inquiry

Thursday, May 3, 2018 from 3:00 PM-7:00 PM

The Lehigh Expo, set for 3:00 - 7:00pm, Thursday, May 3, showcases the creativity and skills of Lehigh students whose passion for building, making, and doing is key to their Lehigh experience. The Expo draws teams of students and faculty mentors from across all majors to demonstrate and celebrate their breakthrough collaborative projects and designs, many of these are the outcome of capstone courses that leverage intense studies in a chosen field into the creation, development, or execution of something real. The event is taking place in the newly-renovated Building C on the Mountaintop Campus; throughout the day, a fleet of buses will shuttle visitors between the Expo and Packer Ave on the Asa Packer Campus. Contact Bill Whitney, Office of Creative Inquiry, at or 610-758-4548 for more information.
