Campus Architectural Details

How well do you know the Lehigh campus? Take our quiz.

As part of the evoLUtion seminar, three teams of first-year students scoured the university campus to find architectural shapes and letters to spell out the word “Lehigh.” 

The students were tasked by their evoLUtion co-facilitators Christa Neu, a photographer in Lehigh’s Office of Communications, and Sarah Barnett, web content manager in the College of Business and Economics, as they explored one of bLUprint’s Five Foundations of Student Success: Collaborative Connections. (The other foundations are creative curiosity, identity development, inclusive leadership, and professional growth and success.)

Answer key:
“L” is formed by an Adirondack chair on the University Center lawn;
“E” is formed by lettering on the front of Grace Hall;
“H” is from the Johnny’s Bagel sign at Farrington Square;
“I” is the I-beam design in the elevator door in the tower of Iacocca Hall;
“G” is the detailing in a door of Packer Memorial Church; and
“H” is a part of the roofline of Lewis Lab.
