Lehigh to Host Global Engineering Education Exchange Annual Meeting

Lehigh University is hosting the 2017 Annual Meeting of Global E3, the Global Engineering Education Exchange, on May 23-26, 2017.

Global E is an exchange program that allows engineering students to study abroad while paying tuition to their home university. It has member universities in 24 countries and exchanges 250-300 students a year. Lehigh has been a member of the consortium since 2009.

The annual meeting with bring together roughly 100 study abroad administrators and engineering educators to discuss best practices in international experiences for students studying science and engineering.

Conference sessions will focus on the following topics:

  • International health and safety
  • Adapting engineering programs to change
  • Enhancing global competency
  • Using technology for global education
  • Increasing study abroad among engineering students

The agenda also includes tours of campus laboratory and research facilities and an optional visit to the United Nations Headquarters in New York, thanks to the Lehigh University-United Nations Partnership.
