One of the oldest buildings on campus, the Sayre Building (originally called the Sayre Observatory) was built in 1868 for instruction in Practical Astronomy. The dome that once housed the telescope can still be seen. The building is home to the "Lehigh Liners", an arm of the Advancement Office.
