New position furthers Lehigh's efforts to expand access to the university for students of all backgrounds. 

Katherine Lavinder, who has held the interim role since last July, was named at the conclusion of a national search.

The Vice President for Equity and Community position at Lehigh was created to lead institutional efforts to advance its work on diversity, equity and inclusion.
