As part of the Lehigh family, you’ll be immersed in a welcoming and vibrant community where learning and living go hand in hand. We want your time on campus to be rewarding and enjoyable, both inside and outside the classroom.
All first- and second-year students live in university housing, and these dorms will hold some of the most important character-developing events in your college career: the formation of friendships, the beginning of careers and many late-night collaborations of creativity.
Lehigh has a strong Greek community dating back more than 100 years. Most students interested in Greek life can find a house that reflects their individual needs and interests.
Lehigh offers many specialty housing options, including special interest communities and the Live Lehigh program. The special interest community options are CHOICE, Gender Neutral, Kosher Living, PRIDE and UMOJA.
For years, unlikely pairs of Lehigh roommates have become lifelong friends. Through our housing application survey, students are paired according to similarities with other students. For those looking for the latest way to match up with a roommate, we also offer RoomSync, a passcode-protected Facebook app, to provide our students with the unique opportunity to interact with other students and find future roommates. By collaborating with RoomSync, Lehigh aims to utilize social networking technology to empower roommate choice. Learn more about RoomSync >
Lehigh residence halls are equipped with the comforts of home. Each room is outfitted with furniture and telephone and wireless network connection. The residence halls each have group common areas with recreational amenities including pool tables and lounge areas. All residence halls are located just a short walk from dining halls, classrooms, the fitness center and libraries. Learn more about Amenities >
Gryphons, often referred to as Resident Advisors at other institutions, will be an integral part of your first year. They will act as mentors, answer questions and provide information to you. They also develop and plan fun on- and off-campus activities and trips. The term Gryphon comes from the mythological beast of Scythia that was known for protecting the area's gold. We use this term because Lehigh considers its students our "gold" that needs to be protected. Learn more about Residence Life >
Some people you see every day but never remember, and then others make a lasting impression. Jean “The Crêpe Lady” Yaglowski is one of the latter. Not only does she make delicious crêpes, but she is also well known for her optimism and her love for the Lehigh community. Her scrapbook of notes from current and former students is testament to her positive influence.
We know it can be tough to eat smart, but we’re here to support your food choices. Our on-campus dietitian and dining team are sure to provide specialty meals to fit your specific needs. Learn more about Dining Services >

There’s no need to worry if you can’t have gluten. We offer sweet potato black bean enchiladas and quinoa salad, to name a few options.
We do our best to deliver top-notch, international food to fit your taste, including Indian, Malaysian and Italian.
Kosher food is available in the UC, and all dining halls offer a variety of dairy and vegetarian options. The Jewish Student Center kitchen is kosher and available for use, with prepared dinners every Friday night.
