Pulp and seeds flew as the Lehigh community enjoyed the art of pumpkin carving—with power tools—outside the Wilbur Powerhouse as part of the 2023 Family and Founder’s Weekend.

The festivities began with the Brown and White BBQ on Packer Avenue, where attendees enjoyed tacos, brisket, poutine and student performances and saw the unveiling of the Class of 2024 numbers. Also among the festivities were several open house events and tours of Lehigh’s outdoor sculpture on the Asa Packer campus, the Lehigh University Art Galleries, the Business Innovation Building and the Health, Science and Technology Building.

Family and Founder's Weekend provides an opportunity each year for the Lehigh community to connect and enjoy the Lehigh experience. The celebration, held every fall since 1879, also honors university founder Asa Packer.
