Sunday, May 22 to Monday, May 23, 2022

General Information

The Commencement ceremonies will be held outdoors rain or shine in Goodman Stadium on Lehigh’s Goodman Campus. Students from Lehigh’s five colleges will participate at this ceremony. Tickets are not required for admission to the ceremonies in Goodman Stadium. Please be sure to review Lehigh’s Severe Weather Plan to plan accordingly.

In addition, check out this Commencement informational video before you travel to Lehigh.

All students are required to RSVP by April 29 to participate in the in-person ceremony. Only students who completed their graduation application by April 27 will have access to login to the RSVP system. Your student will receive an email to create an account and access the Online System. Please note: If your student did not receive an email to set-up their account, please contact us at inuday@lehigh.edu so we can update their email address and resend the email.

The gates to Goodman Stadium open at 8:45 a.m. We strongly encourage you to arrive early to avoid traffic and parking delays.

General parking is available on Goodman Campus in the lots adjacent to Stabler Arena. Parking attendants will direct cars to parking areas that are located approximately 600 yards from the stadium. Click here for information on accessible parking and shuttles >

Students must report to the Student Check-In tent located on the east side of Goodman Stadium at 8:30 a.m. the morning of their ceremony. All students must arrive wearing appropriate academic regalia and have a printed copy of their Grad Pass. To check-in, they must show their Grad Pass and will be directed to the procession line-up location.

Inside the stadium, students will be seated on the field by college. Bottled water will be available as they process into the stadium and find their seat on the field.

The majority of seating inside Goodman Stadium are bleacher seats. Seating that is closest to the walkway around the stadium will be reserved as accessible seats. These seats are one a first-come, first-served basis. Stadium ushers will be available for assistance.

The Commencement Ceremonies will be live-streamed on the Lehigh Commencement homepage. We encourage you to share this information with your family and friends who are not able to celebrate with you in-person. Your attendance at Commencement will indicate your consent for streaming and the appearance of your image in any footage, including the use of the recording for future purposes. Note: The ceremony recordings are not commercially available.

In addition, Stabler Arena will be open as an indoor site to watch the live-stream of the ceremonies. The arena is located south of Goodman Stadium and offers accessible seating and restrooms. Shuttles will be available to transport guests between the stadium and arena during the ceremony in case your guests change their mind on where they would like to view the ceremony.

The commencement ceremonies are estimated to conclude by 12:15 p.m. For the benefit of all students and their families, please demonstrate courtesy by remaining in your seat for the entire ceremony. For those making restaurant reservations after your ceremony, allow yourself enough travel time and anticipate traffic delays.

Please keep in mind that the commencement ceremonies will be held outdoors in a football stadium. Bring your creature comforts. Hats to shield your head from the sun, sunglasses, sunscreen, and stadium cushions are recommended. In the event of rain, bring your umbrella and rain gear. High heels are not recommended for guests and students.

Only service dogs are allowed to accompany their owner to Commencement; no house pets.

Complimentary water stations will be located throughout the stadium for guests seated in the stands. Two concession stands inside the stadium will be open during the ceremonies with a menu of snacks and beverages for purchase.
