“Can I Kiss You?” speaker aims to open eyes, ears, hearts

A candid discussion about dating on college campuses with nationally renowned expert and author Mike Domitrz will take place Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 7 p.m. in Packard Auditorium.
The event, one of several scheduled throughout “Welcome Month” at Lehigh, is free and open to the public.
Domitrz travels around the country, speaking with students, parents, educators, athletes, professionals and organizations about the delicate dance of dating. His talk, “Can I Kiss You?” is designed to focus not on statistics or the dark side of dating, but to inspire people to make powerful and life-changing decisions about their social interaction, according to Michelle Issadore, assistant director of the Women’s Center, a sponsor of this evening’s talk,
“For more than 15 years, Mike Domitrz has been inspiring students with his hilarious sense of humor and his truly unique approach to healthier dating and communication,” says Issadore.
“As an interactive and entertaining expert on dating and intimacy, he teaches audience members how to ask for what they want sexually or intimately, without having to play any of the games. He reveals a fun and revolutionary approach to insuring each person's boundaries are respected.”
While Domritz presents one of the “cleaner” programs on dating on the college circuit, “he holds nothing back,” Issadore says.
“Males and females from all cultures, backgrounds, sexual orientations, and diverse populations appreciate his sincerity and honesty,” she says.
Issadore says that Domritz, executive director of the “Date Safe Project,” works closely with college-age students to produce national initiatives that could lead to significant changes in students’ approach to dating, respect and intimacy.
