Committee begins search for top research officer

A search committee with representatives from across campus has begun seeking candidates for the position of vice president and associate provost for research and graduate studies.

Edward Shapiro, professor of school psychology and director of the Center for Promoting Research to Practice, is chairing the committee. Others serving on the committee are:

Helen Chan, department chair and professor of materials science and engineering
Arup SenGupta, professor of civil and environmental engineering and also of chemical engineering
Kathy Iovine, associate professor of biological sciences
Barbara Malt, professor of psychology
Michael Stavola, professor of physics
Bruce Taggart, vice provost for Library and Technology Services
Stephen Lee-Urban, graduate student in computer science and engineering
Todd Watkins, Arthur F. Searing Professor of economics
