Education, engineering and business colleges rank among nation’s best

In its recently released 2014 survey of U.S. graduate schools, U.S. News & World Report has ranked the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science (RCEAS) 45th out of 191 engineering colleges eligible to be included in the rankings. The RCEAS was ranked 43rd in the magazine’s 2013 issue.

Lehigh’s College of Education was ranked 51st out of 235 education colleges that qualified to be included in the rankings. The education college was ranked 46th in 2013.

For the first time, Lehigh’s College of Business and Economics was ranked with the nation’s top 50 part-time business programs. Lehigh’s part-time MBA program was ranked 34th out of 282 schools surveyed that met the criteria of accreditation by the Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and had at least 20 students enrolled part-time in the fall of 2012.

The rankings will appear in the magazine’s “America’s Best Graduate Schools for 2014” issue, which was posted online today and will be available on newsstands April 19.

Lehigh has also been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of the nation’s outstanding research universities. The university was ranked 38th in the 2013 edition of the magazine’s “Best Colleges” edition, which was published in September 2012.
