Remembering 9/11

Lehigh students joined the nation in marking the 13th anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks by planting almost 3,000 small flags in memory of those killed in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania.

Dozens of students helped blanket the lawn of the University Center in early morning, creating a poignant scene in the heart of campus.

“It’s a visually impacting way to get people to think about [the importance of today],” said Alexandra Stephanou ’15, who organized the day-long memorial.

Video storyteller Stephanie Veto captured the scene and talked to the event’s organizer.
