Seeds of Change exhibit comes to Lehigh

Soka Gakkai International USA, in partnership with Lehigh’s Global Union, will present Seeds of Change: The Earth Charter and Human Potential exhibition at Fairchild Martindale and Linderman Libraries from October 6-10, 2008.
An opening ceremony, including a keynote address by Steven Wisman, director of operations of the Millennium Villages Project, Millennium Promise, will be held on Oct. 6 at 6 p.m. in Linderman Library, Room 200.
The exhibit was created by Soka Gakkai International and the Earth Charter Initiative. It was first shown at the World Summit on Sustainable Development held in Johannesburg, South Africa, 2002. The 16 colorful panels give an introduction to sustainable development, the role of education and the Earth Charter as a set of values and principles for sustainable living.
The exhibit is open to the public (during regular library hours, 8 a.m.–10 p.m.) and is free of charge.
