Single tickets for Zoellner shows now on sale

The Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White Trio kicks off Zoellner's 13th season on Sept. 5.

Single tickets for the upcoming season at Zoellner Arts Center went on sale at noon Friday.
Zoellner opens its 13th season on Sept. 5 with the Chick Corea, Stanley Clarke and Lenny White Trio—legendary artists who encompass 30-plus years of cross-genre jazz exploration.
Other highlights of this year’s Guest Artist Season include Gala2009, which promises to be unforgettable with Natalie Cole on Oct. 10; one of the world's best-known vocal innovators and improvisers Bobby McFerrin on Feb. 28; the return of storyteller Garrison Keillor on March 10; and a collaboration among dance students from DeSales University and Muhlenberg College with Ririe-Woodbury Dance Company on Feb. 6.
Highlights from the Lehigh University Music Department include LU Fusion Fest’s tribute to the group Weather Report with special guest David Liebman on sax on April 9; pan-flute legend and guest soloist Gheorghe Zamfir performs with the Lehigh Philharmonic on Dec. 5; the 12th Annual Intercollegiate Wind Ensemble on Jan. 24; and the celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Choral Arts at Lehigh.
The Department of Theatre produces the comic genius of Shakepeare’s Twelfth Night from Nov. 6-14 and Micheal Frayn’s Noises Off from April 9-17. Featured exhibitions in Lehigh University Art Galleries include an exhibit from the Wood Turning Center of Philadelphia.
“Notations, a series of talks and other events,” will focus on issues of racial and cultural identity. Speakers for this free series include Carl Hancock Rux, Alan Shapiro and David Henry Hwang. The groundbreaking series of EdgeEvents—edgy, unconventional performances—continues with a performance by Carl Hancock Rux, high energy drummers and dancers of Street Beat, and Our Dad is in Atlantis, a play that will be performed on two nights: once in Spanish and once in English.
