Thankful for Lehigh

It’s November! A time of fall, food, family, and—of course—Lehigh-Lafayette festivities, which are in full swing. Last week, more than 60 gigantic boxes left our offices bound for destinations ranging from London to Waikiki, filled with Brown & White goodies that will bring a little bit of Lehigh to our worldwide telecast parties.

On campus, tradition reigns. Spirit Week is under way, with the Turkey Trot, bed races, and much, much more. This year’s bed races will be held on the new Vresics Library Drive Walkway, and those curves and cobblestones add to the challenge—and the excitement!

I hope that my talk of “The Game” stirs up memories of your Lehigh family and our great university. Because beating Lafayette never gets old, we’ve come up with an easy way to support Lehigh and beat the Leopards all at the same time. It’s the Lehigh-Lafayette Alumni Giving Challenge, a competition in which we’re going head-to-head with our greatest rival all this week to see who can get the most text gifts for their alma mater. For more information, please visit www.llchallenge.com to see how you can make sure that Lehigh wins.

Speaking of the game, it’s not too late to make plans now to get together with your fellow alumni at one of the Worldwide Telecast Parties

Thank you for staying connected with Lehigh. As you spend time with your family this fall, know that your Lehigh family is thinking of you!

Wishing you a safe and happy Thanksgiving,

Robert W. Wolfenden
Assistant Vice President for Alumni Relations

P.S. Congratulations to the Lehigh football team on making the NCAA playoffs for the first time since 2004! Rest assured, the Alumni Association will be planning a tailgate at the yet-to-be-determined location. We'll let you know details as soon as we do. In the meantime, if you are interested in hosting a telecast in your location, please e-mail jill.anderson@lehigh.edu. Playoff ticket information will be announced on lehighsports.com following the NCAA selection show next Sunday, Nov. 21. Stay tuned and visit lehighsports.com and mylehigh.lehigh.edu for updates.
