There’s nothing like Lehigh in the spring!

I love this time of year. The campus is gorgeous and there’s an excitement in the air. Students are in the final stretch of classes, and instead of running from building to building, they gather on the lawn among the blossoming trees. The campus is also abuzz with visitors. At this time each year, there are many activities for accepted students and their families, and as you know, Lehigh has been a top choice for generations.

Personally, I’m seeing it this year more than ever. Could it be the recent win over Duke in the NCAA tournament, which gained unprecedented national attention? Or is that more people are learning what we’ve already known? Lehigh is unique. I was moved by this same sentiment in the recent Sporting News article written by CJ McCollum about why he is returning for his senior year. If you haven’t already, it’s worth a read.

When was the last time you were on campus?

Spring is the perfect time, and Reunion 2012 (May 18-21) is scheduled for Commencement weekend, when the campus is alive with activity. I often hear the misconception that Reunion is just for milestone years. Admittedly, there’s something special about celebrating your 20th, 25th, 50th or any major milestone with your classmates, and that will continue this year. However, there’s truly something for everyone at Reunion 2012.

Want to sharpen your mind? We’ve added thought-provoking sessions for provocative discussions. Want to proudly introduce your children to friends and faculty? We’ve planned more family-friendly events this year and child care will be available. Want to play golf? We’ve got that too.

There are so many new and exciting activities—with new ones being added every day. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to visit reunion.lehigh.edu to build your weekend. Register by May 4!

See you next month!
