Zoellner single tickets on sale Aug. 11

Single tickets for Zoellner Arts Center’s upcoming 2010-11 season go on sale at noon Wednesday, Aug. 11. Tickets will be available online and at the Zoellner box office.

Tickets for the just-announced April 21, 2011 appearance by Elizabeth Gilbert, author of the best-selling 2006 memoir Eat, Pray, Love, will be free for those with a Lehigh ID. Tickets are also on sale to the public at $10 each.

A ticket is required to attend, and can be reserved by Lehigh faculty, staff, and students starting at noon Wednesday.

Gilbert’s book, which chronicled her journey alone around the world, looking for solace after a difficult divorce, has been translated into more than 30 languages, with more than seven million copies sold worldwide.

It is the basis for a movie starring Julia Roberts that opens Aug. 13. The book became so popular that, in 2008, Time Magazine named Gilbert one of the 100 most influential people in the world. Gilbert’s fifth book, Committed: A Skeptic Makes Peace With Marriage, published in January 2010, made the New York Times Best Sellers List. It tells of the author's efforts to overcome her ambivalence about matrimony.
