College of Arts and Sciences Interdisciplinary Previews

Each College of Arts and Sciences Preview provides an overview of the opportunities available for students interested in pursuing specific areas of study within CAS’s Interdisciplinary programs. Members of the CAS community, including faculty, will present the details and benefits of an interdisciplinary approach to learning as pertains to each area of study. This college-specific information session is open to all visitors. Please plan to arrive at the Office of Admissions in the Alumni Memorial Building at least 15 minutes prior to the preview’s scheduled 1:00pm start time.

Interdisciplinary International Studies

Includes Asian Studies, Global Studies, Latin American and Latino Studies and Global Citizenship Program

Future college graduates will enter into an increasingly global world. At Lehigh, we offer a number of interdisciplinary programs that foster international study and global connections. This panel will invite students to consider some of the programs that advance students' international knowledge and professional opportunities.

Science and Culture

Includes Cognitive Science, Environmental Studies, and Health, Medicine & Society

The study of science is increasingly interwoven with our daily lives and cultural challenges. At Lehigh, we invite students to consider the complexities of science alongside human developments and social issues. This panel will invite students to consider some interdisciplinary programs that integrate science with cultural study and the professional opportunities such training creates.

Includes Africana Studies, English, Ethics, Jewish Studies, Religion, Women, Gender & Sexuality Studies

As we study cultural representations, texts, and different societies, we uncover an array of issues and problems, including questions of social justice. At Lehigh. students have diverse opportunities to explore questions of social justice and injustice in various academic disciplines. This panel will discuss some of the fields in which social justice is studied and the career options available for such training, including law school.

Interdisciplinary Arts

Artistic study improves our abilities to solve problems and communicate with others. Lehigh's Arts programs allow students to create dynamic professional portfolios and explore numerous career opportunities, especially given our prominent geographical location. This panel will invite students to consider some of the tremendous options for artistic study at Lehigh and their professional development options.

College of Business Preview

The College of Business Preview provides an overview of the opportunities available for students interested in pursuing any of the majors in the College of Business. Members of the College of Business community, including faculty, present the benefits of a four-year integrated approach that combines a strong business core with a variety of options for specialization. This college-specific information session is open to all visitors. Please plan to arrive at the Office of Admissions in the Alumni Memorial Building at least 15 minutes prior to the preview’s scheduled 1:00 pm start time.

Engineering Preview

On select Mondays and Fridays throughout the semester, Lehigh's P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science offers preview sessions that provide an overview of Lehigh's engineering disciplines and hands-on approach to education, highlighting some of the research and educational opportunities available to students of Lehigh Engineering. These preview sessions are open to all visitors; please arrive at the Admissions Office in the Alumni Memorial Building 15 minutes prior to the tour's scheduled start time.

Integrated Degree In Engineering, Arts and Sciences (IDEAS) Information Session

This information session is specifically about Lehigh's Integrated Degree in Engineering, Arts, and Sciences (IDEAS) program, a unique opportunity to combine multiple programs of study in Lehigh's College of Arts and Sciences and the P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science. Sessions are offered on select days throughout the year.

Integrated Business & Engineering (IBE) Information Session

Integrated Business and Engineering (IBE) is a highly selective, four-year interdisciplinary honors program that develops competencies in both engineering and business. This program recognizes the need for today’s leaders in business and industry to have a sound foundation in both commerce and technology. IBE prepares students to assume leadership roles in industrial research and development, entrepreneurial initiatives, management consulting, high-tech ventures, and innovative technology. Information sessions on Lehigh's IBE honors program take place on select Mondays and Fridays throughout the year.

Computer Science & Business (CSB) Information Session

These information sessions specific to the Computer Science and Business (CSB) program inform visitors about Lehigh’s four-year integration of the study of computer science and the study of business in a single program. CSB prepares students not only for careers in software or business, but also for unique cross-cutting opportunities that require expertise in both computing and in business, including forensic accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and risk management. Information sessions on Lehigh's CSB program take place on select days throughout the year.
