Biocomputational Engineering

Biocomputational Engineering Major Overview

Lehigh’s undergraduate major in biocomputational engineering prepares students for professional opportunities at the interface of bioengineering and computational data sciences. The curriculum presents students with a foundation in basic sciences, mathematics and computer programming, as well as a rigorous core of interdisciplinary engineering coursework. Students will take biocomputational engineering courses in which they will study bioinformatics, biophysical models and signaling in biological systems. The program culminates with a senior capstone design experience in which the students will integrate concepts and skills from their prior coursework.

Career Opportunities for Biocomputational Engineers
